16.5 years ago, I moved from India to Brighton on a 1 year visa to intern at a church here. At the end of that year, I met Amy and never left (not illegally, I renewed visas and then became a British citizen)
And now, with Amy and our three kids, it’s time for another big move!
We’re moving to New York.
Also, 🤯
Amy will continue working with @wearejoyn and I will be joining the staff at @churchofthecitynewyork
Our journey to New York has been nothing short of a mighty miracle. There is absolutely nothing more exhilarating than following Jesus! If you’d like to hear the story (and hopefully be encouraged to seek God for crazy adventures!), drop me a message, and I’ll forward you a recording of what I shared with my church staff team I n Brighton.
I’m grieving the friendships that will change here in the UK, in Brighton, at Emmanuel and Newday. There’s too many people to thank and honour and the thought of not being able to do life together is too hard to dwell on. But I am grateful that I’m leaving with joy and pain.
Come visit us in New York!
Lol I’ve become a UK US Indian
Hello new decade! So up for my forties!
Year 39 was full of incredible highs and crushing disappointments but through it all God was faithful and good and near. I am grateful.
Shout out to the best @amylphilip for my birthday threads 😘
And, a massive thank you to @adamjenkins.design for this beautiful piece of art. I absolutely love it! I am the white tiger riding a jaguar ready to conquer Westeros (also, how epic was episode 4 of House of the Dragon?!)
Surrendered my Indian passport last week. Experienced the best and worst of Indian bureaucracy at the consular services centre. I was refused entry because I did not have a printout of the email confirmation of my appointment even though I could show them said email on my phone. Then, I was given an appointment for 12.30 but the officers were on their lunch break. Why not just give people appointments before or after said lunch break time?!
Anyway, after waiting way longer than planned, I finally met with the officer who would check my form. Turns out I hd carelessly filled in incorrect information. On a government form. For a very important passport matter. But instead of outright rejecting my application, they accepted my apologies and my incorrectly filled form 😂
🎉Happy birthday to my numero uno 🎂
I custom designed a pair of 97s for Amy with a nod to Button and Blue. Over the last 12 months, Amy’s focus has gone from being a knitwear designer to marketing and brand manager. The step up has been insane but she’s taken it in her stride. All the hard work and grit and hustle from running your own business is finally paying off way more than we imagined. ‘Faithful with the little, much will be given’ is a good principle to live by. So proud of you, love 😘
Nothing much to see here but your boy living his dream of being a part of a @weareemmanuel Christmas production with world class musicians like @lukefell @caleb.tamplin @dan_night @meganlaramae @larissa_matson @tomphelanmusic @jareedajean @xx_br0sephus_xx @ysabelbain @maddyhhanton @jess_debenham. Mariah was right, there can be miracle when you believe.
Merry Christmas everybody! Joy to the world! The Lord has come
12 years ago today I moved to England. Whilst some of my friends (@finercoffee) have looked into (unsuccessfully)deporting me, these have been the most incredible 12 years of my life. I love that I get to live and love here. Sometimes even the most mundane moments remind me of this blessing, like when I’m choosing cereal in Aldi 😅
Big love to all my friends and family here
